Kaspersky Labs Expands It's Agreement With Time Group
Kaspersky Labs has signed an agreement with Time Group, Europe's largest computer enterprise, to pre-install Kaspersky® Anti-Hacker on many Time Group PCs distributed through retail channels. Earlier this Time Group began producing computers with Kaspersky Anti-Virus pre-installed, and now with the addition of Kaspersky Anti-Hacker, Time Group customers are afforded with additional superior protection against electronic attack.
With the advent of broadband and the increasing exploitation of vulnerabilities within applications and operating systems, anti-virus software is no longer enough to protect home users. To ensure protection from outside attack users must prevent unauthorised access to files and other resources, in addition to specifying applications which have access to the Internet.

Kaspersky Labs recently released the latest version of its personal firewall Kaspersky Anti-Hacker Version 1.5, boasting a significantly improved interface, including an XP style for computers running under Windows XP. Users can now set packet filtration rules to apply to entire port ranges, as well as to the filtration of application data. This allows them to set one rule for a whole group of potentially dangerous IP addresses. Moreover, the Anti-Hacker 1.5 detects the latest network attacks, such as SmbDie and Helkern/Slammer, and supports ADSL modems.
