Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Samba servers 5.0 checks all objects on Samba servers running under Linux, OpenBSD or FreeBSD. The program performs two level scans of server file systems in real time (anti-virus monitor), as well as upon request (anti-virus scan). Once malicious programs are detected the package removes or quarantines the infected object, preventing further spreading while keeping the system administrator constantly informed.
Version 5.0 can be set to automatically update anti-virus databases, while iChecker™ technology - an intelligent file scanning system, enables virus scans to be performed up to three times faster.
To get more information about the terms and procedures for participation, please visit the beta testing section at the Kaspersky Labs site here. The most active participants will be rewarded with free commercial versions of the program upon its market release.
