Kaspersky Labs, an information security software developer releases a new version of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes/Domino, an integral part of the Business Optimal and Corporate Suite packages. The 5.0 version includes significant changes, which raise effectiveness and ease-of-use.
Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes/Domino provides centralised protection from malicious programs for enterprise email gateways and can be installed on servers running under either Linux or Windows NT. The solution monitors email traffic, including embedded objects; should viruses be detected, the administrator can chose between disinfecting and isolating the infected email.
Version 5.0 is built around a new anti-virus kernel with improved stability, reliable scanning and increased effectiveness. A new and user-centered interface simplifies program administration, allowing for remote administration and anti-virus system monitoring via the Internet. The interface is structured logically and has an intuitive feel that is the result of a web-focused design.

The modernised mail filtration system is another key feature. For instance, infected and suspicious objects are now quarantined. Potentially dangerous objects can be blocked and analysed later according to rules set by system administrators.
Registered users of previous versions of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes/Domino can upgrade their versions free of charge. Please contact the Kaspersky Labs partner nearest you.
